Aurora Kruk is a highly skilled and accomplished first assistant art director, renowned for her exceptional talent in concept illustration and hero art pieces for the film and television industries.
Recently, she has had the privilege of designing and executing numerous featured pieces for several acclaimed shows, including Guillermo Del Toro's Oscar Award-winning "Nightmare Alley", "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark", and the forthcoming "Frankenstein"; the Emmy Award-winning "What We Do in the Shadows" (seasons 2-5); and the Emmy Award-nominated "The Umbrella Academy" (seasons 1-4),for which she was responsible for nearly all of the commissioned artwork.
During her time on "The Umbrella Academy", Aurora made the transition to concept artist, and went on to illustrate for seven shows in rapid succession, including costume illustration for the Emmy Award-nominated and CAFTCAD Award-winning "Star Trek SNW", before returning to her role as the exclusive concept artist for "The Umbrella Academy"'s fourth and final season.
Born in the heart of downtown Toronto to a family of artists and entrepreneurs, Aurora's natural inclination towards visual art was warmly encouraged from a young age. The consistent, focused, and creative practice that began in early childhood has continued to characterize her daily life.
Aurora graduated at the top of her class from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Design in Illustration.
