Austin Fryberger was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to Peter Fryberger, an engineer, and his musically talented wife, Maralyn Fryberger. He is the youngest of three boys, with ancestry that includes German, Dutch, Swedish, and Native American roots. His surname, Fryberger, originates from a distant German immigrant ancestor named "Freyberger". Austin's oldest brother, Charles Fryberger III, is a doctor, and his other brother, Evan, is pursuing a career in Meteorology.
Austin's family encouraged him to pursue his passion for film acting, and he followed the advice of a TV/Film native, Tina Treadwell, to move to Los Angeles, California. He decided to leave his southern hometown behind and chase his dreams in the entertainment industry.
Austin Fryberger is best known for his recurring role in the Netflix Series Boo, Bitch opposite Lana Condor, which is considered the shining gem of the show. He was also a series regular in Amazon's Highston, directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, and written by Oscar-winning writer Bob Nelson. Additionally, he received critical acclaim in the independent film Snatchers, which premiered at Sundance, SXSW, and was picked up by HBOMax.
Austin has also had notable roles in various other projects. He starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Invisible Sister and had recurring roles on Netflix's Huge in France, Disney xD's Kirby Buckets, and guest star roles on Paramount+'s iCarly, Netflix's Fuller House, and FOX's The Grinder.
Most recently, Fryberger starred as one of the leads in the feature film My Missing Sister, directed by Ben Meyerson. Up next, he will star in the ensemble cast of The F*** Happened, led by Sophia Ali, directed by Tony E. Valenzuela.
