Austin's remarkable acting career began at the tender age of eight, when he made his debut as a young Matt Damon in the critically acclaimed film The Good Shepherd, directed by the esteemed Robert De Niro in 2006.
As his talent and versatility continued to impress audiences, Austin landed leading roles in a string of notable films, including the precocious son of George Clooney in Michael Clayton, a bully to Elle Fanning in Phoebe in Wonderland, the disturbed son of Adrian Pasdar in Home Movie, and a memorable performance as a troubled child in Burning Palms.
Austin's impressive resume also includes a range of memorable performances on television, including guest starring roles as an abused teen on CBS's A Gifted Man, a murder accomplice on Law & Order, a student on Rescue Me, and as bully and cancer victim Shane Morasco in nearly 300 episodes of the daytime drama One Life to Live.
Notably, Austin holds the distinction of being the youngest male actor ever to be offered a contract with a soap opera, at the remarkable age of 10.
In 2012, Austin will star in the animated film Henry & Me, alongside Richard Gere and many of the past and present Yankees, as well as the feature film Sugar, in which he portrays a homeless teen struggling to survive on the streets of Los Angeles.
When he's not on set, Austin resides with his loving family, including his parents, grandparents, sister, and dog. Interestingly, he is a MENSA member with a genius IQ, and his future plans include the study of film.
