Aysha Selim's life began in the vibrant city of Cairo, Egypt, where she was nurtured in a culturally abundant and artistically vibrant atmosphere, being the offspring of Dr. Hoda Hebaisha, a renowned English Literature Professor and Theatre Critic, and Abdel Moneim Selim, the visionary founder of the pioneering Experimental Theatre in Egypt, Masrah el 100 Korsi.

Noted for her robust academic foundation in the creative sphere, she boasts a distinguished educational trajectory, commencing with her formative years at the German Evangelist School (DEO) in Cairo, where the seeds of her artistic inclinations were sown.

Subsequently, she pursued a higher education at the esteemed American University in Cairo (AUC),where she earned a degree in Psychology, accompanied by a minor in Theatre.

Throughout her tenure at AUC, she leveraged her creative potential by assuming the directorial role in three theatrical productions, thereby honing her skills as a performer, while also making significant contributions to various other plays and performances, further refining her mastery of the performing arts.

Aysha's linguistic abilities are truly remarkable, boasting an impressive range of proficiency in multiple languages, including Arabic, German, English, and French, thereby enabling her to effortlessly engage with individuals from a wide array of cultural backgrounds, fostering a deeper understanding and connection between people from diverse ethnic and national origins.

It was the year 1998 that marked the beginning of a remarkable professional odyssey for this exceptional individual, as she embarked on a new chapter in her career by joining the esteemed Walt Disney Company in a dual capacity as Creative and Operations Manager, Middle East, for the Arabic Dubbing division of Disney Character Voices International (DCVI).

Aysha's impressive repertoire extends far beyond her remarkable contributions to the entertainment industry, as she is also a distinguished published short story writer. In fact, her literary prowess has been formally recognized with a prestigious accolade - the esteemed Madalyn Lamont Award, which she proudly received in the year 2007.

In addition to her creative endeavors, Aysha has also collaborated with a renowned casting director, the illustrious Lucinda Syson, on a project of great significance. Together, they worked on the Cairo casting of the iconic roles of Aladdin and Jasmine in Disney's Live Action Aladdin, a cinematic masterpiece directed by the visionary Guy Ritchie.
