Babita Shivdasani was born into a renowned Sindhi family residing in Bombay, and was significantly influenced by the remarkable success of her cousin, actress Sadhana Shivdasani, in the Hindi film industry. This inspiring achievement motivated Babita to pursue a career as a leading actress in Bollywood. Her debut film, the musical thriller "Raaz", released in 1967, co-starring another débutante, Rajesh Khanna, although it did not achieve the desired success, her subsequent film "Farz", also released in 1967, was a major hit, catapulting her to stardom. Following this, there was no looking back for this talented and beautiful actress.
As the years progressed, Babita eventually decided to retire from acting in the mid-1970s, after marrying another prominent film star, Randhir Kapoor, and settling down as a housewife. During this period, she gave birth to two lovely daughters, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, who would later become leading actresses in the Indian Film Industry.
Babita took on a more nurturing role, managing her daughters' careers, and as a result, they both rose to become the topmost leading ladies in the industry. Karisma gave birth to two children, making Babita a grandmother, while Kareena married Saif Ali Khan, son of the renowned actress Sharmila Tagore.
