Bakhyt Sattarbekovich Kilibayev, a talented and multifaceted creative force, whose artistic endeavors have left an indelible mark on the world of cinema, was born on May 26, 1958, in the bustling and culturally rich city of Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan.

Kilibayev's academic odyssey commenced in 1975 with his enrollment in the esteemed Oriental Faculty of Leningrad University, where he diligently devoted himself to his studies from 1975 to 1978, meticulously refining his skills and laying the foundation for his future academic pursuits.

His educational journey continued, with a subsequent move to the script department of VGIK, where he remained until his graduation in 1985 under the guidance of two renowned instructors, Nikolai Figurovsky and A.Balikhin. During his time at VGIK, Kilibayev developed a remarkable aptitude for crafting humorous stories, one of which, "Indian yogis, who are they?", was successfully brought to life in 1983 as part of the film magazine Yeralash, showcasing his creative talent and artistic abilities.

Kilibayev's creative partnership with A.Baranov resulted in the co-authorship of numerous film scripts, with notable works including "Damir plus Dina" in 1985, "Who are you, rider?" in 1987, and "Together", a 1988 television production. This impressive body of work also includes "Needle" in 1988, as well as "Darkhan", a television series also released in 1988.

Kilibayev's exceptional talent and dedication to his craft led to his appointment as the head of the MMM studio, where he was responsible for creating a series of advertisements for JSC "MMM". Furthermore, he held the esteemed position of Deputy Director of Gorky Film Studio, overseeing the departments of Advertising, Marketing, and Sales.

Kilibayev's impressive body of work boasts a directorial credit that stands out in particular, the enchanting film "Gongofer", which premiered in 1992 and went on to garner widespread acclaim, culminating in the prestigious Kinotavr Festival Award and the esteemed Golden Aries Award for the best screenplay in 1993.
