Barbara Goldbach, a talented individual, was born to Howard and Marjorie Goldbach in Queens, New York, with her father being a dedicated policeman.
She initially met her first husband, Augusto Gregorini, a business traveler from Italy, while working as a model in New York City in 1966. Barbara decided to follow him to Italy, and they eventually got married in 1968, having two children, Francesca and Gianni. During Gianni's birth, a challenging situation arose, as the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck, nearly causing choking, and he was later diagnosed with cerebral palsy, although a subsequent operation improved his condition.

Ringo and Barbara then traveled to New York City to offer comfort to Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon, and they eventually got married on April 27, 1981.
