Barbara's journey to stardom began with a prestigious scholarship from the Fine Arts Foundation, propelling her into the vibrant world of New York City. As a soloist for the renowned Harkness Ballet, she had the esteemed honor of performing at the iconic White House, and later, as a guest artist with the esteemed Washington Ballet. Her exceptional talents soon expanded to the world of Broadway productions, where she further honed her craft.
In New York, Barbara's remarkable abilities caught the attention of Warner Brothers Studios, securing her a coveted five-year contract. Her debut film, Finian's Rainbow, marked a significant milestone in her career, as she had the privilege of dancing alongside the legendary Fred Astaire, earning her two Golden Globe nominations in the process.
Throughout her illustrious career, Barbara has been an integral part of the Alliance Theatre School's staff since 1978, where she has performed in numerous musicals. Her extensive teaching experience includes stints at The Georgia Ballet, Brenau College, Theatre West in Los Angeles, and the Performing Arts Center.
