Sascha Paladino, brother of the documentary filmmaker, directed him in both the feature documentary, "Throw Down Your Heart", released in 2008, as well as the short documentary, "Obstinato: Making Music for Two", which premiered in 2004.
Attending New York City's prestigious High School for Music and Art, he honed his skills and developed a passion for music.
His first musical endeavor was the band "Wicker's Creek", which marked the beginning of his musical journey.
In 1973, his grandfather made a significant contribution to his musical development by purchasing his first banjo.
