Bella Higginbotham, a talented and multifaceted individual from Nashville, Tennessee, has been captivating audiences with her acting skills since she was just five years old.
Starting her journey on stage, Bella played the role of Wacky The Puppet in the musical Annie at a local theater, impressing audience members so much that they often mistook her for an actual puppet, only realizing she was a real child at curtain call.
At the tender age of six, Bella began her professional career with Studio Tenn, playing the iconic role of Gretl in The Sound of Music alongside Broadway veterans Ben Davis and Jessica Grove. She went on to play several other notable roles with the company, including Cosette in Les Miserables, Zuzu in It's A Wonderful Life, and Lucy in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
Bella has also worked with the Nashville Repertory Theater and was a member of the 2018 Apprentice Company at Nashville Shakespeare Festival, where she appeared as a fairy in A Midsummer Night's Dream at Shakespeare in the Park. Additionally, she has originated several roles with The Theater Bug, her favorite local youth theater.
In 2019, Bella traveled to NYC to originate the role of Kathy in a 29-Hour Reading of Trevor the Musical, a new musical in development for Broadway.
Bella made her onscreen debut in the 2019 feature film Troop Zero, alongside Viola Davis, Mckenna Grace, Jim Gaffigan, and Allison Janney, under the direction of Bert & Bertie. She also had a series regular role as Lauren Gibby in The Mighty Ducks: Gamechangers.
As a talented voice actor and singer, Bella can be heard voicing multiple characters in the animated short film Du Iz Tak? (2018) directed by Golden Gate Award nominee Galen Fott.
When she's not acting or singing, Bella enjoys dancing, playing the ukulele and bass guitar, and drawing. She is a passionate advocate for saving manatees and hopes to one day appear on Broadway and illustrate children's books.
