Beth Reekles, a British author, was born on June 7, 1995, in Newport, Great Britain. By 2019, she had published five books, including the novel The Kissing Booth in 2013, which was adapted into a film of the same title in 2018.
At the age of 17, Beth wrote The Kissing Booth and gradually published it on the online platform Wattpad, where it was read more than 19 million times. While writing her final exams, she was signed by the publishing house Random House UK at 17.
Her other novels include Rolling Dice, Cwtch Me If You Can, Out of Tune, and The Kissing Booth Novella The Beach House. The sequel to The Kissing Booth will be released on Netflix in 2020.
Beth Reekles graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in physics and currently works in the IT industry.
In 2013, Time magazine named her one of the 16 Most Influential Teens, and in August 2014, The Times listed her as 6th in the 'Top 20 under 25'.
