Bhavesh Chauhan, professionally known as Crispy Cuffs, is a multifaceted creative force, operating as a music video director and cinematographer based in Vancouver, Canada.
Born in New Delhi, India, Bhavesh spent a significant portion of his childhood in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where he initially developed his passion for filmmaking by creating stop-motion videos using a DV camcorder. His creative endeavors continued to evolve as he relocated to Calgary, Canada, in 2006, at which point he began crafting live-action short films as a teenager.
In high school, Bhavesh took Drama classes and crossed paths with Bhaveek N Makan and Jashan Makan, with whom he later co-founded Rendering Glint Films in 2008. As he delved deeper into the world of filmmaking, his enthusiasm for the craft only grew, as he began to involve his friends in their projects, taking on various roles including producer, actor, writer, editor, and director.
Over the course of six years, Bhavesh was instrumental in producing, acting, writing, editing, and directing an array of independent web productions, encompassing shorts, music videos, web series, and feature films, all while pursuing his education.
Bhavesh's academic pursuits led him to the University of British Columbia Okanagan, where he earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering in 2014. However, his true calling lay in filmmaking, and he made the decision to dedicate himself to the craft full-time after graduating.
One of Bhavesh's earliest notable productions, Jewel Fools (2014),gained widespread recognition after being featured at the Calgary International Film Festival in 2014, for which he served as both executive producer and assistant director.
In 2017, Bhavesh relocated to Vancouver, where he honed his skills in cinematography and music video projects, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and versatile filmmaker.
