Bhuvan Arora is an Indian actor born and raised in Delhi, with a family background that has shaped his early life. His father, S.L. Arora, was an officer in the Indian Army, while his mother, Sneh Lata Arora, worked in a government organisation. He has one elder sister, Deepti Arora, who has played a significant role in his upbringing. Bhuvan's early education took place at Manav Sthali School, followed by a move to the Armed Naval Public School in Chanakyapuri.
From a young age, Bhuvan was actively involved in extracurricular activities, and he developed a strong passion for theatre. This passion led him to participate in various school and college events, where he showcased his talent and honed his skills. He was an active member of the theatre group and even served as the president of the cultural society during his college days.
After completing his B.Com (Honors) from PGDAV college, Delhi University, Bhuvan decided to pursue a career in acting. He won multiple awards at Delhi University for his street theatre performances, which further solidified his desire to become a professional actor. However, before taking the leap, he wanted to learn the craft in detail. Hence, he applied to the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII),Pune, and was successfully admitted to the institute.
At FTII, Bhuvan had the opportunity to learn from stalwarts like Naseeruddin Shah, Saurabh Shukla, and Kamal Haasan, among others. He worked on over 60 student films, which helped him gain valuable experience and exposure in the industry. After completing his studies, Bhuvan moved to Mumbai and started auditioning regularly for various projects.
He began with advertisements and episodic television programs, and his breakthrough came when he was discovered by Shanoo Sharma, the casting director at YRF. Bhuvan's first film was A Pure Desi Romance (2013),directed by Maneesh Sharma and starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Rishi Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, and Vaani Kapoor. His performance was widely appreciated by both the audience and critics, leading to his next film, Tevar (2015),directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.
Since then, Bhuvan has been a part of numerous films and web shows, including Dedh Ishqiya (2014),The Test Case (2018),Naam Shabana (2017),Bank Chor (2017),Jai Mummy Di (2020),Haathi Mere Saathi (2021),Chaman Bahaar (2020),and many more. Apart from films, Bhuvan has also worked on over 50 advertisements and multiple short films. One of his short films, Rogan Josh (2018),won the Filmfare award for Best Short Film.
However, his breakthrough performance came with Amazon Prime Video's TV series Farzi (2023),directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., where he played the character of Firoz. His performance received widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike, earning him numerous accolades and recognition in the industry.
