Billy Hough, an American actor, writer, and musician, was born in Bakersfield, California. He is best known for his show "ScreamAlong with Billy", which he performs with his partner, bassist Susan Goldberg.
Billy's show, which was hatched at Enzo in Provincetown, Massachusetts, in 2006, has since become a staple of the New York City underground music scene. Director Oren Moverman, who was impressed by Billy's performance, cast him as himself in the film "Rampart" (2011). Three of Billy's performances were used in the film and appear on the film's soundtrack, including one of his original songs, "Venice".
Billy was first discovered by writer/director Stephen Winter, who cast him as 'Tony' in the short film "Death is Lame" (2011). Billy contributed an original song, "If I Loved You More", for the film's soundtrack and also composed "Love Theme from 'Daniel'" for director Alain Furcajg's film "Daniel" (2010).
In addition to his solo work, Billy is the lead singer of the punk band GarageDogs, which he formed with his brothers Paul and Matt Hough. The band has released six LPs, as well as "Scream Along with Billy: The Album", through their own label, GarageDog Records.
Billy is also a founding member of the Gold Dust Orphans Theatrical Company of Boston, Massachusetts, where he has written the scores to seven original musicals, including "Joan of Arkansas" (2000) and "Cinderella Rocks" (2005).
