Bivas Biswas, a multifaceted individual with a strong foundation in technology and a passion for the arts, has led a life marked by creative pursuits and professional accomplishments.
As a holder of a Master's Degree in Computer Science and 3-D Computer Graphics from Arizona State University, Biswas began his career as a Senior Software Engineer on U.S. Defense Projects. However, his love for cinema soon took center stage, and he founded his own film production company, which he built from the ground up during nights and weekends.
Biswas's dedication to his craft was rewarded when he took part in the 48-hour film challenges in Phoenix, Arizona, winning numerous awards for producing and directing. He eventually transitioned to semi-retirement, where he produced three feature films, including one that received international distribution.
Despite the film's commercial underperformance, Biswas's hard work and dedication earned him the Arizona Filmmaker of the Year Award in 2008 and a feature in Best of Phoenix magazine as the Best Local Filmmaker.
As technology continued to evolve, Biswas returned to the software industry, working with modern VR and AR. He maintained his connection to the film world, developing screenplays and acting in student films in his free time.
Biswas's acting career has since flourished, with leading roles in independent feature films, such as The Elevator to Salvation, available on Amazon Prime, and appearances in TV shows for Discovery Science and Star Network/India, Warner Bros.
Today, Biswas is a SAG-AFTRA actor, residing in Los Angeles, and working at an AR startup.
