Biography

Bob Orrison was born on July 28, 1928, in Bakersfield, California, USA, with his full name being Robert P. Orrison. Throughout his career, he worked as a stuntman on an impressive 41 films, spanning from 1968 to 2005. His notable stunt work can be seen in movies such as Rambo III, released in 1988, and Die Hard 2, released in 1990.

Aside from his film work, Orrison was a regular stuntman for several television shows. He appeared in eleven episodes of the crime drama series Harry O, which aired from 1974 to 1975. Additionally, he was the stunt driver for the iconic General Lee car in 144 episodes of the popular television series The Dukes of Hazzard, which aired from 1979 to 1985. Furthermore, Orrison doubled for actor George Peppard in 72 episodes of the action-drama series The A-Team, which aired from 1983 to 1986.

Tragically, Bob Orrison's life came to an end on October 11, 2014, in a devastating car accident. He was driving a pickup truck that made a U-turn and was broadsided by a Jeep Cherokee in Rancho Cordova, California. Sadly, both Orrison and his best friend, Gary McLarty, a passenger in the truck, lost their lives in the accident. Both men were highly respected Hollywood Hall of Fame stuntmen. Prior to his passing, Orrison had resided in Rancho Cordova since 2007.
