Born in Wooster, Ohio, USA, in the year 1961, Bob Peterson embarked on a journey that would eventually lead him to become a renowned figure in the world of animation. His academic pursuits took him to Ohio Northern University, where he delved into the realm of mechanical engineering, simultaneously exploring the world of computer graphics. In 1983, he successfully completed his undergraduate studies, earning his degree from Ohio Northern University.
Undeterred by his newfound knowledge, Bob Peterson continued to further his education by pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering at Purdue University. His academic endeavors culminated in the attainment of his master's degree in 1986. During his time at Purdue University, he demonstrated his artistic prowess by creating a cartoon strip called "Loco Motives", showcasing his talent for storytelling and illustration.
After completing his education, Bob Peterson ventured into the professional world, joining the ranks of Wavefront Technologies, Inc. and Rez-n-8 Productions. His experience in these industries undoubtedly honed his skills and prepared him for the challenges that lay ahead. In 1994, he made the pivotal decision to join the esteemed animation studio, Pixar, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his illustrious career.
