Bobby Sheehan's career in the entertainment industry began during his high school days, where he created fashion videos and print campaigns for Parachute, a renowned New York fashion emporium.
He continued his creative pursuits while attending New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he founded his own production company, directing and producing a wide range of motion picture work.
In addition to his work in film, Sheehan also pursued a career in photography, capturing the punk rock scene and photographing iconic bands such as the Clash, Ramones, Blondie, and Elvis Costello.
His photographs were featured in publications such as Circus Magazine, Creem Magazine, The Village Voice, Soho News, and New York Magazine.
Sheehan's first feature film, "Seed," received critical acclaim and was praised by Variety for its innovative cinematic form and visually captivating storytelling.
He coined the term "docufantasy" to describe his feature film "Arias With A Twist: The Docufantasy," which explores the creative spirit and tenacity of gifted artists.
Sheehan has also directed and produced several other feature documentaries, including "Listen To The World" and "I Thee WED," which premiered at the United Nations' annual World Environment Day in Rwanda.
In addition to his work in documentary filmmaking, Sheehan has written, produced, and directed the narrative feature "Cayman Went," which premiered theatrically in June 2009.
Sheehan's television credits include "The Talent Collector" for AMC, "Repo Men" for TLC and Discovery Networks, and the documentaries "Jeff Koons: Beyond Heaven" and "Mr. Prince."
He has also directed over 500 commercials for various brands, including Adidas, American Express, and McDonald's, as well as public service announcements for organizations such as the American Red Cross and the Special Olympics.
As a fine arts photographer, Sheehan has exhibited his work in galleries across the country, including Bridgewater Lustburg in New York, Stephen Cohen Gallery in Los Angeles, and the Vision Gallery in San Francisco.
Sheehan graduated from NYU's film division of the Tisch School of the Arts and is the co-founder of New York-based Working Pictures with his wife Sara Feldmann Sheehan.
