Boomer Phillips, a mechanical engineering graduate from Texas A&M University, initially dreamed of becoming a firefighter. However, due to a shortage of firefighter job opportunities, he was forced to reassess his career aspirations.
Boomer's journey into the world of stand-up comedy began in August 2005. Within a year, he had become a finalist in three prominent comedy competitions, including the Yuk Yuks Toronto Laugh off, Yuk Yuks Ajax Laugh Off, and the Hog town Comedy Festivals Ed Pollack Competition.
In 2006, Boomer set his sights on transitioning from the comedy stage to television and film. Since then, he has worked on over 60 commercials, made over 200 television appearances, and secured multiple roles in various feature films.
Recent credits include guest spots on Crave TV's hit comedy "Letterkenny", Hulu's "A Handmaid's Tale", and FX's "The Strain". Fans can also catch Phillips in Jay Baruchel's hockey sequel "Goon 2" and as Steel Mill Bill in The Butler Brothers film "First Round Down".
