The professional acting career of this individual began at the tender age of 16, in the 1953 film "Sinji galeb" (part of Pero, credited as Darko Slivnjak),directed by the renowned Croatian director Branko Bauer. Prior to this, from 1950 to 1953, they were an active member of an amateur group that is now known as Zagrebacko kazaliste mladih (Zagrebian Theatre of Youngsters).
Subsequently, from 1953 to 1957, they pursued their studies at The Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. Following their academic tenure, they became a permanent member of Zagrebian Drama Theatre (now known as City Drama Theatre Gavella) from 1957 to 1973. During this period, they also held the position of professor at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb from 1970 to 1973.
In 1973, they took on the role of manager and director of the Drama department at the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek, a position they held until 1974. The following year, they transitioned to a freelance career, simultaneously becoming a member of Teater &td in Zagreb. From 1977 to 1978, they managed the Estrade Theatre ESTA in Zagreb.
In 1978, they joined the Drama department of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb as a permanent member, taking on the role of both actor and, briefly, publicity director in 1983. Since 1984, they have worked as a freelance actor, primarily engaging in various film productions made by foreign companies.
In addition to their acting career, since September 2003, they have been leading Netfaces - the First Croatian Casting Organization on the Internet - and have been working concurrently as a casting director, director, actor, dialogue coach, and teacher of acting.
