Brady Hall's cinematic career was forged in the fiery crucible of punk rock's DIY ethos, coupled with an innate desire to stand out amidst the suburban sprawl and a Renaissance-man's boundless curiosity. Lacking formal training in a pre-internet era when free education was scarce, Hall's initial foray into filmmaking, co-directed with Calvin Lee Reeder, defied expectations by punching above their weight and budget in terms of quality, charm, and watchability.
As his career progressed, Hall continued to churn out features on his own, including June & July and Dick Licker, while also producing award-winning, Sundance-programmed shorts with Reeder, such as Little Farm and The Rambler, within the burgeoning Seattle indie film scene. Hall's versatility and one-man-band approach enabled him to develop a thriving career in production, drumming up work on commercial and corporate projects.
In a creative partnership with writer and producer Ed Dougherty, Hall co-created Scrapper, a drama starring Michael Beach and Aidan Gillen, as well as 7 Witches, a horror thriller set against the bleak Washington state coastline. With Burn It All, Hall returns to writing and directing on his own, marking a shift towards crafting films with sharp social commentary.
