Brandon Baker's journey in the entertainment industry began in New York and New Orleans, where he worked on various feature films, including High Art and Fait Accompli, to gain hands-on experience in both the creative and practical aspects of filmmaking.
He then transitioned to working as an assistant sound engineer at Broadway Video, but it was his move to Los Angeles in 2000 that marked a significant turning point in his career. During his time in L.A., Baker worked in the sales and acquisitions department at Myriad Pictures from 2000 to 2003, where he developed a deep understanding of the domestic distribution, foreign buyers, and indie film markets and film festivals worldwide.
After leaving Myriad Pictures, Baker joined MonteCristo Entertainment, Boll AG/Event Film, and Film Mode Entertainment, where he continued to work in sales and acquisitions. He eventually returned to New York in 2005 and began to pursue his passion for independent film production.
