Person Biography:
Brandon J. Barrera, a renowned actor, hails from Shreveport, Louisiana, a city that has given birth to notable figures such as Hank Williams Jr. and actor Jared Leto. Growing up in a family with a strong business and theater background, Brandon's indomitable spirit was shaped by his father, a businessman, and Vietnam veteran, and his mother, a drama teacher.
After a traumatic leg injury at the age of six, Brandon's resilience helped him overcome several painful operations, months in the hospital, and years of rehabilitation. Despite the challenges, he went on to become a state-ranked tennis player and attended the prestigious Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy.
Brandon's passion for acting was ignited by his mother's exposure to theater. He was a member of the Peter Pan Players, a Shreveport acting troupe, from the age of ten until he graduated from Airline High School. He continued to hone his craft throughout college, performing in various classic and original productions at Louisiana Tech University.
After graduation, Brandon moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television. He co-founded Secret Identity Productions with childhood friend Blayne Weaver in 2004. With over 20 films under his belt, Brandon has shared the screen with a diverse range of talented actors, including Mark Harmon, Jon Cryer, Blair Underwood, Kaitlin Olsen, and many more.
Brandon has also had the opportunity to work with Academy Award nominee Dan Petrie, Jr. on two projects, Dawn Patrol and Rosemont. Although he has made significant strides in Hollywood, Brandon remains committed to portraying a "signature role" that pushes him to his limits and is enjoyed by audiences for years to come.
In addition to his acting career, Brandon is a devoted father to his daughter, Skye, and values his private and introspective nature.
