Biography

Brandon Thaxton, also known as Director 2Mill, hails from Ridgewood, New Jersey, and is a film director who has made a name for himself as the second half of the renowned production company, Supremacy Films, in Atlanta.

During his formative years, Brandon attended the Visual and Performing Arts Magnet at Tri-Cities High School in East Point, Georgia, where he not only took on leading roles in various school productions but also began his career in print, television, and film.

Brandon's early career saw him co-hosting the teen talk show, Lisa Knight and the Round Table, broadcast on the Black Family Channel. He wrote and co-hosted several episodes, earning the show a NAMIC Award in 2004 for Best Children's Show, which was shared with "That's So Raven" in the same year. In 2005, he went on to host "Thousand Dollar Bee" on the Road, also produced by the Black Family Channel.

Throughout his high school years, Brandon participated in a variety of films, including Diary of a Mad Black Woman, ATL, and The Gospel. His experiences on set sparked his interest in the production side of the projects, prompting him to attend Miami University of Art and Design for two years. He later returned to Atlanta to further his studies, attending the Art Institute of Atlanta for one year.

Brandon's desire to reconnect with his Atlanta network proved to be a pivotal moment in his career. At the age of 20, he made his theatrical directorial debut with a presentation of Yellowman in association with Tafari Jurani Theatre at the Southwest Arts Center in East Point, which sold out every show.

Since his return to Atlanta, Brandon has been involved in numerous projects, including independent films and music videos. He was selected to direct "The 48 Hour Film Showdown," which aired on Halogen TV, and his creative direction led the project to win Best Film.

In 2009, 2 Mill directed the short film "Eros," which received widespread acclaim and distribution through Dish TV and Comcast. Some of his recent projects include 2 Chainz, Dillon Sacks, and D Woods, which aired on MTV2 and MTV Jams.

At the age of 25, Brandon has been working professionally in Atlanta's film industry for 11 years and is now focused on inspiring growth and improvement in the industry, not just in Atlanta but across the nation.
