Brandon is a multilingual documentary cinematographer and director with a strong presence in San Francisco, California. He is dedicated to crafting deeply reported, character-driven stories that not only humanize but also uplift the individuals and communities featured in his work. As a 2025 SFFILM FilmHouse Resident and 2025 Big Sky Pitch participant, he is currently developing his forthcoming feature film, THE PRISON OUTSIDE.
In recent years, Brandon has made a name for himself through his short film MOTHER (2024),which has been showcased at over a dozen film festivals across North America and Europe, including the prestigious Mill Valley Film Festival, Frameline, and NewFest. His cinematography credits include a range of notable projects, including Observer (2025, CPH:DOX),Quiet On Set (2024, HBO Max),and VOCES: Latino Vote (2024, PBS),as well as the forthcoming feature film The Last Class (2025).
Brandon's work has also been featured on prominent platforms such as FRONTLINE PBS, The Atlantic, The Guardian, High Country News, and KQED, earning him recognition from esteemed awards including the duPont, Peabody, and Scripps Howard awards. He holds a master's degree from the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley, and is a founding partner at Family Pictures, a full-service production company that combines original reporting and cinematic vision to craft compelling non-fiction stories.
