Born in the quaint farming town of Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Canada, a humble abode with a population of mere 3000 residents, Brent was the youngest of seven siblings, a demographic that would later influence his comedic style and ability to connect with diverse audiences.
As a fledgling comedian, Brent began his stand-up career in 1988, gradually working his way up to headline top clubs and theatres across Canada, showcasing his unique brand of humor to a wide range of demographics. His exceptional talent did not go unnoticed, as he was handpicked to represent his country at prestigious events such as the Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival and the World Comedy Tour in Australia.
Throughout his illustrious career, Brent has made numerous appearances in Canadian television programs, as well as a select few U.S. shows, including the iconic sci-fi series "The X-Files" in 1993, the crime drama "Millennium" in 1996, and the offbeat comedy "Becoming Dick" in 2000.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the world of comedy, Brent was awarded the prestigious title of 'Best Male Standup' at the 2001 Canadian Comedy Awards. Currently residing and working out of Vancouver, on Canada's West Coast, Brent is shifting his focus towards acting, a natural progression for an artist of his caliber.
