Biography

Brian, a multifaceted character actor, writer, and director, has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry through his versatile performances on Broadway and television.

Brian's impressive theatrical credits include stage premieres of Florian Zeller's The Father, Rock N Roll by Tom Stoppard, Poor Behavior by Theresa Rebeck, Completeness by Itamar Moses, and as Edgar in King Lear at the Public Theater, opposite Kevin Kline and Logan Marshall-Green.

He has also made memorable appearances on popular TV series, including NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Castle, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, among others. Brian's film credits include Julie & Julia and Gigantic, opposite Paul Dano and Zooey Deschanel.

In addition to his acting career, Brian has also ventured into directing, helming the improvisational indie comedy The Weekend in 2013, which was shot in just three days with a talented ensemble of New York actors and writers.

From 2012 to 2016, Brian co-hosted and produced The Buckeye Brothers, a popular sports podcast. His voice has also been featured in numerous national commercials, video games, and audiobooks for Audible.

Born on September 14, 1978, in Columbus, Ohio, Brian made his stage debut as an infant in The Royal Family by George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber. He later attended Thomas Worthington High School, where he performed the title role in Tartuffe at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1996.

Brian earned an MFA from NYU in 2006, becoming the only actor to receive the A.V. Global Fellowship in the Arts. He is married to actress Amy Lynn Stewart and has one son, Bodhi.
