Brian, a decorated member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, is a Rescue Diver and Dive Master, renowned for his Search and Rescue efforts in the aftermath of the Alaskan Airlines crash off the coast of Ventura, California. However, his life's journey began far from the California coast, where he currently resides on a boat.
Growing up on a farm in the wooded valleys of Missouri, Brian spent his childhood raising livestock and breaking horses alongside his younger brother and two sisters. His parents, natives of New York, had bravely left their city lives to adopt a rural lifestyle in the heart of the Ozarks.
From a young age, Brian was drawn to exploration and rescue work, joining organizations such as the Missouri Speleological Society for cave exploration and participating in volunteer rescue organizations. These early experiences laid the foundation for his current involvement in coastal programs like Santa Monica's Heal the Bay and Kelp Reforestation projects.
As an actor, Brian has starred in several independent features and has received recognition for his performances. He was written up in Variety magazine as part of the best cast in Bill Fishman's "Dinner with Jimi," playing the role of John Lennon. Brian also accepted the Silver Medal for Best Dramatic Feature at Houston's Worldfest 2002 for his work in Rich Brunton's "Mosaics."
In addition to his acting career, Brian is currently working on a film based on his own hitchhiking journal across the United States and Canada, which is scheduled to be completed and ready for festivals in 2006. When he's not working on his latest projects, Brian can be found dancing the Tango with impressive skill.
