Brian Elwin Haner, Sr., also affectionately referred to as Guitar Guy or Papa Gates, is a multifaceted American musician, born on April 7, 1958. His impressive repertoire of talents includes being a skilled guitarist, songwriter, singer, and stand-up comedian.
In 1980, he embarked on a new chapter in his life by getting married, and this union would ultimately lead to the birth of his first son, Brian Haner Jr., who would later gain fame under the stage name Synyster Gates, serving as the lead guitarist for the renowned metal band Avenged Sevenfold.
Currently, Haner is touring alongside fellow stand-up comedian Jeff Dunham, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and entertaining performer.
