Brighid's journey in the world of acting began at the tender age of three, when she was captivated by the magic of "Seussical the Musical". Following the show, she was asked if she would like to meet the iconic Cat in the Hat, to which she replied, "No, I want to be the Cat in the Hat. How do you get up there?" This early display of ambition and creativity marked the beginning of her illustrious career.
After honing her skills on the local Albuquerque theatre circuit, Brighid landed an international modeling job with LaCoste, which led to her being cast in small film roles that were shooting in New Mexico. Her big break came in 2007 when she made the move to Los Angeles.
On a flight back to Albuquerque to film "The Burrowers", Brighid met directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, who subsequently cast her in the supporting role of Delia in their film "Gamer", starring Gerard Butler. Since then, she has worked extensively in Los Angeles, taking on small indie films, student projects, and theatre productions, as well as making appearances on television and in feature films.
Throughout her career, Brighid has received numerous accolades, including a Maverick Award for her role in "Sugar Rush", a USC film, and nominations for festival awards for her work in "After the Shearing", a UCLA Grad film for AARP. She has also won Best Actress for the short film "A.B.S" at the Women's Independent Film Festival and been nominated for a Young Artist Award for her part in "Criminal Minds".
Deborah Dozier Potter, a former member of the Kennedy Center's President's Advisory Council for the Arts and the daughter of Joan Fontaine and niece of Olivia de Havilland, praised Brighid's performance in the New Mexico-produced film "Hearts of Desire", stating that she believed Brighid was destined for greatness. The LA Times also commended her performance in Woyzeck for the Gangbusters Theatre Company, noting her disarming command.
In 2011, Brighid took on a new challenge by writing and directing her own short film, A.B.S, which has been well-received on the festival circuit, winning awards for best short film, directing, and cinematography. Her ultimate goal is to establish her production company, Phish Tank Philms, and develop A.B.S into a web series.
