Britt Baker made history as the first woman to sign with All Elite Wrestling (AEW),establishing herself as a trailblazer in the industry. Her wrestling journey began in 2015 when she discovered independent wrestling, sparking a passion that led her to the ring.
Unlike most wrestlers, Britt followed an unconventional path-earning a degree in Biobehavioral Health and Human Development/Family Studies from Pennsylvania State University before obtaining her Doctorate in Medicine for Dentistry from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Rather than choosing between her two passions, she pursued both simultaneously, determined to defy expectations.
Britt made her All-Elite Wrestling debut in the company's first show Double or Nothing in May 2019 and went on to become the AEW Women's World Champion in May of 2021. Britt has since won notable titles, including Pro Wrestling Illustrated's 2021 Match Of The Year for her iconic bloody hardcore match against Thunder Rosa.
She also was awarded Female Wrestler of the Year in 2021 on multiple platforms including Pro Wrestling Illustrated Awards, Sportskeeda Wrestling Awards, and Inside the Ropes Awards. She was later voted Fightful Awards Best Promo of the Year in 2022.
Britt also garnered recognition for making her mark as the first female to main event all 3 of AEW's network television shows including AEW Dynamite, AEW Rampage, and AEW Collision.
Fans got an inside look at Britt's dedication and preparation for AEW's biggest events in AEW: All Access, a TBS Original series. The show followed some of the league's top stars-including Adam Cole, Dr. Sammy Guevara, Tay Conti, The Young Bucks, Saraya, Wardlow, Eddie Kingston, and AEW CEO, GM, and Head of Creative Tony Khan-as they navigated the challenges of staying at the top of their game.
Britt is always pushing herself to new heights, never afraid to bet on herself. She plans to expand her career into modeling, hosting, and acting-new passions sparked by her work in AEW. While continuing to showcase her talents, she also supports causes close to her heart, including THON, Kulture City, and ASPCA.
Balancing her dentistry career with building a successful wrestling legacy, Britt hopes to inspire women to stay passionate and persistent. As someone with ADHD, she aims to be a role model for neurodivergent individuals and use her platform to raise awareness about sensory inclusion.
In her free time, she enjoys watching sports, and TV shows, and trying new workout classes, as well as soaking up the sun at the beach.
Britt is originally from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Orlando, Florida.
