Brittany Benjamin's impressive background in the performing arts encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including acting, singing, and dancing. From a young age, she attended a dance academy, training in tap, jazz, and ballet, and even became captain of a national dance team during her high school years.
She has also received extensive training in vocal performance, stage and on-camera acting, and voice over from renowned instructors such as Shirley Venard and John Paul Gamoke. Her academic pursuits led her to study Theatre Arts Acting at the University of Minnesota, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Brittany's musical talents extended to being the lead singer of an all-original rock band, touring primarily in the Midwest, and co-writing many of the songs on their album "Surround", released and produced by Karl Demer.
Growing up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Brittany was raised by her mother, a nurse, and her father, who worked for the city's paper company. She currently resides in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, where she continues to pursue her acting and singing career, while raising her four children.
Brittany is married to Nick Deutsch, the former Director of Photography, known for his work on Generation Mason (2005) and Pond Hockey (2008). Her experience in the film industry was cemented when she played the role of Jessica Williams in the 2010 feature film The Scientist, starring alongside Bill Sage, Adam LeFevre, and Jamie Elman, and directed by Zach LeBeau.
This film marked a turning point in her career, as she realized her true passion lay in on-camera acting. She has since continued to develop her skills, writing, and directing her own projects, and remains particularly drawn to story-driven independent films produced and created by talented and ambitious individuals with a genuine connection to the art of filmmaking.
