Biography

Brooklyn Lowe was born on February 18, 1994, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Wandra Lowe, a single mother who rose above the challenges of the inner-city to become a well-celebrated nurse and Professor at John Hopkins University. Brooklyn's early life was marked by her mother's dedication to bettering their situation, often taking the bus with baby Brooklyn in tow back and forth from the city to nursing school at Neuman College.

Despite the adversity they faced, including the devastating effects of Hurricane Floyd in 1999, Wandra maintained her ranking as top of her class, and Brooklyn developed a profound curiosity for what she observed of her life. Brooklyn's short stories often revolved around her daily activities with her mother, and her Barbies retold similar tales, showcasing her natural talent for storytelling.

At the age of six, Brooklyn discovered her beloved medium, the performing arts, after watching Tyra Banks and Lindsay Lohan in the movie Life-Size. Wandra supported her daughter's dreams, and Brooklyn attended 10 schools in four states due to her mother's career as a travel nurse. Brooklyn was the top of her class at every school, mirroring her mother's academic achievements.

Wandra encouraged Brooklyn to pursue her dream and develop other talents, such as singing and dancing. Brooklyn's performances and curtain openings instilled in her a sense of destiny, and she knew she was meant to act. She landed every role she auditioned for, gaining recognition from the International Thespian Society.

After graduating from Monrovia High School with honors, Brooklyn moved into a studio apartment in Koreatown, just one mile from Paramount Studios. Wandra continued to support Brooklyn emotionally and financially, and with God's blessing, Brooklyn achieved swift success in her pursuits.

Brooklyn's first major role was in the critically acclaimed short film "Change" by Melissa Osborne, which won numerous festival awards. Her big break came as a series regular on "Blue: A Secret Life" starring Julia Stiles, directed by Rodrigo Garcia. The web-series was later picked up by the Lifetime Network, marking Brooklyn's official television debut.

Today, Brooklyn Lowe resides in Atlanta, Georgia, the booming film mecca of the East Coast, United States. She continues to pursue her destiny as a natural-born storyteller and is flourishing as a writer.
