Since 1993, the renowned producer, Mr. Kimmel, has been instrumental in shaping the world of theater music on CD, having successfully produced over one hundred and thirty albums to date.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Kimmel has received numerous accolades, including a Grammy nomination for his work on the revival cast album of the classic musical, Hello, Dolly!, as well as his album with the esteemed jazz pianist, Fred Hersch, I Never Told You, which also garnered a Grammy nomination.
Mr. Kimmel is credited with creating the critically acclaimed Lost In Boston and Unsung Musicals series, and has produced solo albums for a diverse range of talented artists, including Petula Clark, Helen Reddy, Liz Callaway, Laurie Beechman, Paige O'Hara, Christiane Noll, Judy Kaye, Judy Kuhn, Brent Barrett, Jason Graae, Randy Graff, Emily Skinner, and Alice Ripley, among others.
He has also had the privilege of working with legendary performers such as Lauren Bacall, Elaine Stritch, and Dorothy Loudon, and has produced numerous off-Broadway and Broadway cast albums, including the hit revival of The King and I, starring Lou Diamond Philips and Donna Murphy, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas starring Ann-Margret, and Bells Are Ringing starring Faith Prince.
In addition to his work in the music industry, Mr. Kimmel is a prolific author, having written four novels, including the trilogy comprised of Benjamin Kritzer, Kritzerland, and Kritzer Time, Writer's Block, and Rewind. A new novel is set to be released this fall, and he has recently launched a new record label, Kritzerland.
Furthermore, Mr. Kimmel has ventured into playwriting, and his latest work, Deceit, is scheduled to open in Los Angeles in January 2006.
