Noted producer, director, writer, composer, conductor, arranger, and musical director, with a career spanning multiple decades, has collaborated with numerous renowned professionals in the entertainment industry. Following high school, he pursued higher education at the University of California, where he arranged and conducted Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller's chart-topping hit "Bazoom (I Need Your Lovin')" for the Cheers during his sophomore year.
In 1955, he was appointed orchestra leader for the Gary Crosby Show on CBS radio, marking the beginning of his illustrious career. By the age of 19, he had already established himself as a producer, and went on to arrange and conduct music for multiple double-platinum album artists, including Ella Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, and others.
He played a significant role in launching the Verve record company and served as its head of A & R. Later, he transitioned to television and film production in Europe, producing 28 shows within his first two years for the BBC, and serving as Head of Entertainment for the London Weekend ITV.
Throughout his remarkable career, he has worked with numerous high-profile artists and has been involved in various aspects of the entertainment industry, from music production to television and film direction. Unfortunately, he passed away on January 8th after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
