C. Boyd Motley, professionally known as Chris, is a talented actor based in New York, originally hailing from Maryland. He has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry, particularly for his recurring role in the indie web series ARCHIVES OF THE HEART.
Chris has also appeared on various television shows, including THE INTERROGATION ROOM and NIGHTMARE NEXT DOOR on the Discovery Channel. His work in independent films includes BEYOND KEPLER, FILE 6, MAN OF FAITH/12 HOURS OF TEMPTATION, and DAPHNE.
Born and raised in Maryland, Chris has always been fascinated by television and film, with a childhood dream of becoming a storyteller alongside legendary actors like Samuel Jackson and Denzel Washington. In 2008, with no formal training, Chris took the plunge into acting, initially experiencing nominal success.
He landed various industrial roles for THE GRADUATE SCHOOL, METRO-TRANSIT AUTHORITY, and THE CENTER FOR HUMAN CAPITAL INNOVATIONS (CHCI),but despite the limited opportunities, Chris remained undeterred, convinced that he was destined for Academy Award greatness.
His perseverance eventually paid off, with recurring roles on local indie web series ARCHIVES OF THE HEART and DIAMOND DISTRICT. Recognizing that his career would benefit from a move to a more prominent market, Chris relocated to New York City in 2015.
In the city, Chris continued to hone his craft by attending classes at SHIEK STUDIOS and participating in workshops and scene studies whenever possible. When not acting, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, writing, cooking, painting, and studying the business of acting.
Currently residing in New Jersey, C. Boyd Motley looks forward to collaborating with esteemed directors Ava DuVernay, Kevin Feige, Ryan Coogler, and JJ Abrams, and dreams of one day bringing to life an iconic Marvel character.
