Caitlin Howden is a multifaceted individual with a rich background in the entertainment industry. Born and raised in Montreal, she later relocated to Toronto where she honed her skills as an actor and comedian at Ryerson University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting.
Following her academic pursuits, Caitlin made a name for herself at the renowned Second City in Toronto, where she wrote and performed in four highly acclaimed Main Stage revues. Her impressive portfolio extends beyond the stage, as she has also ventured into writing for various mediums, including radio, cartoons, and television shows.
In addition to her writing credits, Caitlin co-starred in a pilot for a new Second City Television Show, which received a prestigious nomination for five Canadian Screen Awards.
As a co-founder and former Artistic Director of Blind Tiger Comedy, Caitlin played a pivotal role in establishing a safe and accessible platform for comedy enthusiasts. Under her leadership, the organization offered a range of classes taught by established comedians, focusing on improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy.
Caitlin's dedication to her craft has also led her to maintain a strong presence in the live comedy scene. Every Sunday night, she takes the stage as part of The Sunday Service, Vancouver's longest-running, independent comedy show. This iconic institution has provided a platform for countless comedians to showcase their talents, and Caitlin is proud to be a part of its enduring legacy.
