Camila Cabello, born on March 3, 1997, in Havana, Cuba, began her music journey in 2012 when she auditioned for the X-Factor and joined the girl group Fifth Harmony, becoming the lead singer.
As a member of Fifth Harmony, Cabello and her bandmates released one EP and two studio albums before her departure from the group was announced on December 18th, 2016.
As a solo artist, Cabello released two hit singles, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly, before preparing for the release of her debut solo album in 2017.
During this time, Cabello scored features with Cashmere Cat, Pitbull, and J Balvin, earning a Grammy nomination and a Guess deal to become an official Guess girl and face of their 2017 Fall campaign.
Cabello joined the Bruno Mars 24K Magic World Tour as an opening act, performing 20 shows, and released her hit single "Havana" on August 3, 2017, as a gift to her fans.
Due to the success of "Havana," Cabello announced that it would be the official first single of her debut album, scrapping her original debut single "Crying In The Club."
"Havana" reached #1 on the Hot 100 Billboard, #1 in the UK Official charts, and over 80 more #1's on iTunes, becoming #1 on the official worldwide charts, solidifying her position as a solo artist.
In just 11 months of her solo career, Cabello had won 18 awards, become a multi-platinum artist with over 50 certifications, sold over 17 million units, and gained over 4 billion combined YouTube and Spotify streams without releasing an album.
Cabello's debut album, simply titled "Camila," was released on January 12th, 2018, receiving a score of 76 on Metacritic and over 100 #1's.
"Camila" debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, cementing Cabello's success as a solo artist.
