Cara AnnMarie is a multifaceted individual who has made a name for herself as an actor, singer, and entrepreneur. Born in San Diego, California, but raised in Chelsea, Michigan, Cara's artistic journey began at a young age. She landed her first leading role as Lady Macbeth in her 4th-grade class, and throughout high school, she was actively involved in choir, show choir, debate, and private voice studies.
Cara's strong arts education led her to attend The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she graduated with a degree in Theatre & Voice (Opera). During her time at university, she booked her first professional musical theatre roles, playing Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at The Marque Children's Theater and Margie in State Fair at The Circa '21 Dinner Theater in Illinois.
After graduating, Cara briefly moved to Chicago, where she responded to an audition in Backstage and embarked on a tour just two weeks later. She then made New York City her home base, frequently returning to the stage for regional theater, cruise line Broadway shows, and tours within the United States and internationally.
Some of Cara's most notable roles include Christine in Phantom, Cinderella in Cinderella, and Beth in Little Women. After years of performing on stage, Cara decided to transition to television and film, landing numerous commercials and print ads, including two national commercials for Pay Anywhere and Trusted Choice Insurance.
Her film credits include Dead Quiet, Liberty's Secret (2016),Moontrap: Target Earth (2017),and Where's Rose with Ty Simpkins. Cara has also had the opportunity to work on several TV shows, including Detroiters on Comedy Central with Sam Richardson, Tim Robinson, and Jason Sudeikis, Ozark directed by Jason Bateman and opposite Laura Linney, Cobra Kai with Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, and an upcoming Netflix Original series, Florida Man.
In addition to her acting career, Cara is passionate about animal welfare and rescue. She co-founded an eco-friendly pet company, Doggy Do Good, with her husband and rescue dog, Olive. The couple recently expanded their family by one, welcoming a son in October 2020.
