During the 1970s, she gained widespread recognition as a member of the extremely popular dansband Frösöflickorna, whose popularity transcended regional boundaries and resonated with audiences across the country.

In the 1980s, Carina Jaarnek continued to hone her craft, performing alongside the esteemed Bosse Påhlssons orkester and the talented Alfstarz, before ultimately deciding to take the reins and form her own band, Carina Jaarneks orkester.

Jaarnek's extraordinary aptitude and remarkable proficiency as a musician led to her being affectionately dubbed "The dansband queen of Sweden," a testament to her remarkable contributions to the world of Swedish music. Her initial foray onto the prestigious Svensktoppen charts occurred in the year 1986, with the release of the captivating song "Natten tänder ljus på himlen," a track that showcased her unique style and artistry.
