Biography

Carla Lazzari, a French singer and television presenter, was born on August 19, 2005, in Châteauneuf-Villevieille near Nice, Alpes-Maritimes department, southeastern France. She is of Spanish-Italian descent and comes from a family of musicians and singers. At the age of five, she entered the Conservatory of Nice.

Lazzari rose to fame after reaching the final of The Voice Kids France in 2018, finishing in fourth place. In 2019, she was selected by France Télévisions to represent France at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Gliwice, Poland, with the song "Bim bam toi." She ended fifth at the contest, earning 169 points.

In June 2020, Lazzari released her debut album, L'autre moi, along with a music video for its title track. Her song "Bim bam toi" was nominated for Song of the Year. In September 2020, she released a cover of Joe Dassin's song "Siffler sur la colline," accompanied by a music video.

In December 2020, Lazzari released a deluxe version of L'autre moi, titled L'autre moi (Réédition),which included all 13 songs from the original album, plus six additional tracks. The lead single of the deluxe edition was "Cœur sur toi," released on November 4, 2020.

In April 2021, Lazzari was announced as the spokesperson for France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, reading out the French jury points at the grand final. On June 4, 2021, she released a new single, "Alors chut," the first single from her second album Sans Filtre. The second single, "Summer Summer," was released on July 23, 2021.

On August 21, 2021, an emote titled "Bim Bam Boom" was added to Fortnite, featuring dance moves from the official music video of "Bim bam toi." Lazzari co-hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Paris alongside Olivier Minne and Élodie Gossuin.

Between September and November 2022, Lazzari participated in the 12th season of Danse avec les stars, the French equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing, broadcast on TF1. She finished second in the final on November 11, behind Billy Crawford.
