African-American female professional wrestler, trainer, and valet, Jazz, began her journey in the world of wrestling under the tutelage of the late Junkyard Dog (Sylvester Ritter) and subsequently Rod Price. She initially started her career in 1998 under the moniker Jazzmyn, eventually settling on the name Jazz, which she chose herself. Her debut match took place against Jacqueline (Jacqueline Moore),the very inspiration that drew her to the world of wrestling, and a competitor she would later face on multiple occasions in the WWE.
Jazz made a name for herself in ECW, breaking away from Justin Credible's (P.J. Polaco) entourage and earning a reputation for being fearless and willing to take on both men and women in the ring. Her notable achievement in ECW included defeating Justin's manager, Jason "The Sexiest Man on Earth" (Jason Knight),at "ECW Heat Wave 99," thereby becoming the first woman to win a match on an ECW pay-per-view event.
In her first words spoken on ECW television, Jazz asserted her uniqueness among female wrestlers, stating, "My T&A stands for talent and ability." She went on to join Ohio Valley Wrestling after ECW's closure and made her WWE debut as the last member to join the Alliance at "WWE Survivor Series 2001" on November 18th, participating in the Six-Pack Challenge for the vacant WWE Women's Championship, which was ultimately won by Trish Stratus.
Throughout her WWE tenure, Jazz held the WWE Women's Title on two separate occasions. She has also held various other championships, including the NWA CyberSpace Women's Championship, the WSU Tag Team Championship with Marti Belle and Tina San Antonio as the Belle Saints, and the NWA World Women's Championship.
In addition to her wrestling career, Jazz, along with her husband, fellow wrestler Rodney Mack (Rodney Begnaud),opened a fitness center in 2007 and their own wrestling school, the Dog Pound. She was inducted into the WSU Hall of Fame in 2010, alongside Molly Holly (Nora Greenwald) and Dawn Marie (Dawn Marie Psaltis).
