Carly Hannah Chaikin is an American actress born on March 26, 1990, in Santa Monica, California.
She was raised Jewish and attended The Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles, where she played various sports.
Chaikin began acting in 2009 and landed her breakout role in 2011 as Dalia Royce in the ABC sitcom Suburgatory, which she played until the show's cancellation in 2014.
She then began playing the role of Darlene in the critically acclaimed USA Network television drama Mr. Robot in 2015.
Chaikin was born to a cardiologist father and a physiotherapist mother, and she was raised in a Jewish household.
She landed her first film role in 2009 as Veronica in the film The Consultants, which was released in 2010.
In 2010, she starred alongside Miley Cyrus in the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' The Last Song, playing the role of Blaze, the antagonist of the film.
Chaikin was cast as Dalia Oprah Royce in the ABC sitcom Suburgatory in 2011, and her performance received universal acclaim.
She was nominated for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Suburgatory in 2013.
Chaikin has also appeared in the 2012 independent film My Uncle Rafael and has written and produced several short films.
In 2014, she was cast in the USA Network TV series Mr. Robot, playing the role of Darlene, a programmer and member of the fsociety group.
Chaikin has received widespread critical acclaim for her performance in Mr. Robot, and the show has won several awards, including the Audience Award for Episodic TV shows at the 2015 SXSW film festival.
In 2015, she guest-starred on Marc Maron's TV show, Maron, as Tina, a college teaching assistant.
