Biography

Carman's life began in Fairfield, California, where he was born, before he was raised in San Antonio, Texas, with an Italian-American father and a Thai mother. His upbringing as the child of an Air Force family allowed him to experience a diverse range of cities across the United States and the world, fostering a unique perspective on life.

He pursued his passion for acting by training at Texas Christian University, located in Fort Worth, and later earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from Rutgers University. Carman's professional journey in the world of theater began with a production of "Rose Rage: Henry the 6th Parts 1, 2, 3" directed by Edward Hall, which originated in Chicago and was later transferred to New York City, earning him the Bayfield and Joseph Jefferson Awards for his portrayal of Henry.

In addition to his work in this production, Carman has also appeared in several other notable New York theater productions, including a Broadway and PBS production of "Cyrano," in which he played the role of Vicomte de Valvert alongside Kevin Kline and Jennifer Garner, and a production of Elaine May's "Roger is Dead," in which he co-starred with Marlo Thomas.
