Biography

Carolin Fink's life was deeply influenced by her upbringing in an artistic environment. Her mother, Sonja Sutter, was an ensemble member of the renowned Burgtheater in Vienna, while her father was a resident physician at the Salzburg Festival. This exposure to the world of theater from an early age undoubtedly left a lasting impact on her life.

At the age of 11, Fink began studying piano at the prestigious Mozarteum in Salzburg, while concurrently attending middle and high school with a focus on musical education. Following high school graduation, she started her acting studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, only to transfer to the Ernst Busch Drama School in Berlin, where she received her acting diploma.

Fink's professional career began as an ensemble member at the Residenz Theater Munich, making her debut as Recha in Lessing's Nathan the Wise alongside Martin Benrath at the Prinzregenten Theater. She has worked with numerous stage directors, including Achim Benning, Volker Hesse, Horst Schönemann, Gerald Thomas, Werner Müller, and Thomas Schulte-Michels. Her stage credits include a range of plays, from classical to modern literature, such as Brecht's The Good Person of Szechwan, Shakespeare's The Tempest, Jean Racine's Britannicus, Maxim Gorky's Children of the Sun, and Lillian Hellmann's The Little Foxes.

Fink's entry into the German film and television landscape began with her role as a main cast member in the award-winning film trilogy Die Zweite Heimat. She has since worked repeatedly with directors such as Martin Enlen, Thomas Jauch, Niki Muellerschoen, Matthias Tiefenbacher, and Olaf Kreinsen.

In the television industry, Fink is well-known for her performances in successful national TV series, including Der Alte, Ein starkes Team, Kommissarin Lucas, SoKo Muenchen, SoKo Wien, Schwarzach 23, Die Rosenheim Cops, and Um Himmels Willen. In 2015, she starred in the ARD network comedy show Fragen an Schorsch Aigner - Der Mann der Franz Beckenbauer war, alongside Olli Dittrich, who was nominated for the 2016 Adolf Grimme Prize.

In addition to her acting work, Fink periodically performs as a guest star at the Chamber Opera in Munich and records cultural segments for the Bayerische Rundfunk and ORF Salzburg on a regular basis. She also leads acting seminars as an empathetic body language coach at the Social Welfare Court in Munich, among other venues.
