Caroline, a Richmond, Virginia native, made the significant decision to relocate to the Washington Metropolitan area in the year 1968, thus establishing a deep sense of belonging and connection to her new surroundings.
Before venturing into the entertainment industry, Caroline spent an impressive 25 years dedicating herself to a career as a Federal employee, where she undoubtedly honed her skills and gained valuable experience.
However, in 1994, Caroline decided to take the leap and pursue her lifelong passion for acting, initially exploring the world of community theater, a realm where she would go on to make a name for herself with notable credits including her captivating portrayal of The Judge in the production of "Nuts" and her powerful performance as The Preacher in "Gospel at Colonus".
Caroline's insatiable thirst for knowledge and unwavering dedication to her craft prompted her to enroll in college, driven by her ultimate goal of earning a degree in Theater. Through her academic pursuits at Prince Georges Community College, she successfully navigated the rigorous curriculum, ultimately graduating with an Associate of Arts Degree in Theater, a testament to her academic prowess. Following her collegiate endeavors, Caroline continued to meticulously hone her acting skills, taking on a diverse array of roles in industrials, as well as securing extra work in two television series, "The Corner" and "Homicide: Life on the Streets", further demonstrating her versatility and adaptability as an actress.
Caroline's most notable and groundbreaking acting achievement to date was her outstanding portrayal of Bodie's grandmother in not one, but two exceptional episodes of the highly acclaimed and widely renowned television series "The Wire". These two episodes, specifically episodes four and six of the inaugural season, showcased Caroline's remarkable talent and versatility as an actress, and as a result, garnered her widespread recognition and acclaim within the entertainment industry. This phenomenal performance not only opened doors to new opportunities and experiences for Caroline, but also made her eligible for membership in the esteemed and prestigious Screen Actors Guild (S.A.G.),a coveted honor that she has proudly earned and continues to maintain.
