Carrie Schrader is a multifaceted creative force, renowned for her distinctive approach to storytelling. Her work often blends elements of drama, wit, and subversive humor, yielding thought-provoking and engaging narratives.
A talented and accomplished director, Carrie has co-directed the award-winning short film "Don't Mess With Texas", penned by the esteemed Ethan Coen. She has also directed the Netflix commercial "Battdad: Battle For Bedtime" and co-written/directed the feature-length documentary "The Founders", which premiered on Amazon and Peacock.
Currently, Carrie is working on multiple feature film projects as a writer, and has recently been hired to pen a one-hour drama pilot for A Really Good Home Pictures. Her work has garnered international recognition, earning audience awards at various film festivals and accolades from esteemed organizations such as IFP New York, Outfest Screenwriting Lab, Sundance Table Read, and the Austin Film Festival.
In addition to her film work, Carrie has also produced several projects through Rainbow Hands Productions, including "The Thing I Want To Say" directed by Maria Nglio and "Missing While Black" directed by Chris Anthony Hamilton.
Carrie is also the creator of the #nicewhitemom video series, which uses satire to examine how white women perpetuate racism. A proud theater nerd at heart, Carrie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater and a Master of Fine Arts degree in directing from Columbia University.
