Catherine Campion is thrilled to be back in Minneapolis, following her exciting adventures in various parts of the world. Her recent escapades have taken her to Ireland, where she indulged in mackerel fishing, to Los Angeles, where she went cycling, and to Ecuador, where she explored the world of orchard buying. Throughout her career, Catherine has played a diverse range of roles that have showcased her impressive acting skills. Some of her most notable roles include a foul-mouthed cancer patient in the popular TV series Weeds, a Minnesota Iron Range mom who stands up to Charlize Theron in the critically acclaimed film North Country, directed by Niki Caro, and a nerdy gamer girl in the short film Silver, written by the talented Diablo Cody.
As an improviser since the age of 11, Catherine has developed a strong foundation in voice over work, which has led to a rewarding career in this field. Her impressive portfolio includes TV campaigns for well-known brands such as Subaru, United Health, and H&R Block, as well as voicing Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow in the Iron Man video game. Additionally, she has provided the voice of Siri for Ellen's iPhone on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and has voiced 48 spots for Biden's Build Back Better Plan. Furthermore, she is set to star in an upcoming AAA video game that is scheduled to be released in 2024.
Catherine's journey in the entertainment industry began on the Equity stages of Minneapolis, where she performed in various plays at The Guthrie, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Penumbra, and The Children's Theater Company. In addition to her work on stage, she has also pursued a career in music, performing as a cellist, keyboardist, and vocalist throughout the Twin Cities. She continued her music career in Los Angeles, collaborating with notable bands such as Saint Motel, Motion City Soundtrack, Chan Poling, and Fort King.
Catherine's parents, who are of Irish descent, gifted her with dual citizenship in the US and EU, which has allowed her to explore various parts of the world. She has lived in Europe, West Africa, and South America, accumulating a wealth of stories and experiences that she has shared through her work as an award-winning Moth GrandSLAM Championship storyteller. She is currently developing an animated series for PBS, titled LifeUps.
