Catherine Tambini, a renowned director and producer, has garnered numerous accolades throughout her illustrious career. Notably, she co-produced the documentary "Hate Rising with Jorge Ramos" for HBO and Univision Story House, which earned the Outstanding Documentary award at the National Hispanic Media Coalition Impact Awards.
In addition, Tambini was nominated for an Emmy Award for her documentary "The State of Arizona," a CINE Golden Eagle winner that aired on PBS's Independent Lens. Her other notable documentary, "Farmingville," won the Sundance Special Jury Award, among many other accolades, and was broadcast on PBS's POV.
Tambini also co-produced the Academy Award-nominated documentary "Suzanne Farrell: Elusive Muse," which premiered at the New York Film Festival and aired on PBS's Great Performances/Dance in America. Her additional credits include producing and directing "Perfectly Normal For Me" for LBP, as well as "Art and Heart: The World of Isaiah Sheffer," which premiered at Lincoln Center at the NY Jewish Film Festival.
Furthermore, Tambini field produced and shot portions of MTV's "I'm From Rolling Stone" and TLC's "Pageant Perfect." Beyond her documentary work, she has also contributed to the production design of several well-known Hollywood films, including "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle," "Steel Magnolias," "True Colors," and "The Secret of My Success."
Throughout her career, Tambini has been recognized as a Sundance Institute and a MacArthur Foundation fellow, solidifying her reputation as a talented and accomplished filmmaker.
