Based in Brisbane, Cathy's company, VirgoProductions, has garnered significant recognition for its work, including the award-winning cinema version of The Burning Season. This impressive production took home the IF Award in 2008 and the Rising Star Award at the Canada International Film Festival in 2010. The film was also nominated for the prestigious Gold Panda and Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary on a Business Topic.
The Burning Season made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, followed by a limited theatrical release in Australia and a DVD release in April 2010.
Beyond her work on The Burning Season, Cathy is actively developing a multi-platform documentary about renowned cinematographer Don McAlpine and a feature film. Her extensive television credits include Heroes of Our Time, Walking Through a Minefield, Losing Layla, The Man Who Stole My Mother's Face, which won the Tribeca Film Festival and IF Award in 2004, and I Told You I Was Ill, a documentary about Spike Milligan that was screened in seven countries, reaching an audience of over five million people.
